This weekend was crazy.... crazy weather, crazy busy, crazy expensive and just crazy all over!
When Gary got home on Saturday, we had to drive out to Bay City (2 1/2 hrs) to look at a house. Glad we did, because that's the one we chose and put our deposit on. It is two story, 4 bedroom, 2 bath, garage and storage shed. Fenced yard. Address is 300 Elm St., Bay City, MI 48706.
But then it was kinda late at night and we were exhausted, it was also 90 degrees with 98% humidity, and we didn't have AC in the car, so we decided to rent a hotel for the night! But of course it was unplanned, so we didn't have clothes to sleep in or toiletries etc so we went shopping at Walmart. Too much money later, we have pajamas and a whole bunch of other stuff we probably didn't need! But it was fun.
We went to the hotel and crashed. Maggie of course did not sleep well, so no one else did either, ugh. We woke up at 5am, but we were all in a pretty good mood regardless. We pulled the big table between the beds and had a really great, fun breakfast, eating and laughing and bouncing on the beds. I hope its a good memory for the kids. Plus, free breakfast, no money involved!
When we were ready to leave, it was pouring rain and in the 40's and we were freezing in our summer clothes.....so we had to make another trip to walmart to get warmer ones! Too much money later, we all have warmer outfits and a whole bunch of other stuff we probably didn't need. :p But it was fun!
Then instead of driving straight home we decide to drive up to Pinconning, which is famous for their tasty, creamy, amazing cheese. Who doesn't love cheese! So we went to an actual Cheese House (literally hundreds of types of cheese, sausage, crackers, wine etc.) and spent like $60 on cheese and snacks. Too much money later, we have a ton of cheese, and probably a whole bunch of other food we didn't need. :p We got smoked cheese curds, smoked provolone, 2 sampler trays of various cheeses like cracked pepper, sundried, herbed, jalapeno etc, some hunter's sausage and pickles, and pickled eggs, sausage, and brussels sprouts, as well as some candy for the kids. And 2 lbs of extra sharp Pinconning colby cheese.
But it was fun!
And later that day, we went to Gary's parent's house to celebrate Mother's Day. It's impossible to get him to control his giving urges when he actually has money, so he brought his mother two large pots of flowers for her porch.
And then yesterday, we had to go get moving boxes and I asked to go into Michael's to spend the last of my writing money on some painting supplies. Too much money later, I have my painting stuff and a whole bunch of other stuff we probably didn't need........But boy was it fun! The girls made cowgirl hats last night and we have a couple other crafty things to do with them, and I got a couple of canvases, paint, and a palette finally. Finally, when I have to pack and clean and have no time to paint...lol....But it was fun. :)
And then we went grocery shopping, and I had to leave Gary to shop while I took the girls to the bathroom, and it took forever, and when I came out he'd bought a bunch of stuff....And now we are broke! *smh*
He has a very hard time controlling himself when he was money, as I'm sure you can see....but he loves spoiling his girls and it makes him feel like a manly provider so I can't nag much.
And now for some pics!
Bouquet Maggie picked for me :)

I am finally starting to be able to see my chin and cheekbones again!
That's why I was smiling. :p

I hope you'll call or make a post soon, look forward to hearing from you and I'm afraid my time and energy in the coming weeks will be very limited. We only have two weeks to move, and just got boxes yesterday. :/ So let's talk in the next couple of days while we still can. :D
I hope you enjoy my post! Love from all of us.
