Hi sis!
I'm writing with a really awful headache, day 8 of it in fact, so this will be short and truncated probably.
March has been an awful month. I don't know if you knew, but the vehicle we bought with our tax return we found out needed about 3k in work. So we sold it at a loss, bought another one. We went to see Gary's parent's last Tues. and on the way home it died on the side of the highway. :(
Gary WAS able to fix it the next day, that the good Lord, but we spent that entire week's check on taxi/tow truck/car parts.
So we are suffering in the money department.
That day was also the first day of my sinus swelling and sinus headache. I have something weird going on. I mean, sinus infection obviously, but something else too. The enitre left side of my nose swelled shut on the inside, and I can still barely breathe through it. I look in there, and all I can see is a wall of flesh, any opening to my sinus on that side it swollen shut. It's like I broke my nose, and it's turning the wrong way on the inside. but obviously I would have known if I broke my nose right? So I'm thinking it's a polyp or some other crazy thing, but I cannot wait to get it sen about. Can't breathe, and can't sleep because I can't breathe. I either wake myself up snoring like a chainsaw every few minutes or because my tongue is so dry it feels like it's going to crack. And sinus pain/pressure/headache every freaking day. So forgive me for not being around much.
Nothing is going well because of that. ^^^ My writing has fallen off a cliff and I'm about, oh, 4k words behind schedule. That's a whole week. :p The house is a mess, etc, so yeah. Any computer-ing I do is struggling to get some words on my WIP.
I did submit a short story to a magazine today. I don't know why I bothered, though. The chances are incredibly low, and I just can't take the stress of anxiously waiting right now! Because yeah, the chances are low, but I can't help hoping, expecting. Lol.
Umm other news.
Texas is on hold right now, which I'm happy about (except for the maybe not seeing you this summer thing). But that may also change any time in the next few months, because Gary is losing his job. He already found a replacement, begins on April 3rd, but it is a lot less pay. So I've got to find another job too, and somehow work out the 2 jobs/1 car thing again.
And oh my, this is all complaining. Let me find something good to talk about....
I love my purple hair. We had our very first thunderstorm of the year this morning! Winter is breaking finally, THANK YOU GOD.
Umm Willow got submitted to the Gifted & Talented program, but haven't heard anything about it since they told me she was being considered. She's going to Texas on the 27th for Spring Break *avoids that topic because more complaining*
My writing mentor program is going well, I <3 the lady I got and she does make me feel very hopeful. We meet once or twice a week to discuss writing craft stuff, using my first book. Once we get through allll the chapters, I will send it to you. :p
Although if you want to know anything else about my writing, I could tell you my other 3 series ideas, or um, let you read some chapters from book 2 or ... something.
Oh! Oh! I wanted to tell you about Zennioptical.com. I got my first EVER pair of rx sunglasses for $48. 0.0 And regular glasses with anti-glare for $28! Can you freaking believe it? Gary got a pair of rx sunglasses with the best of every option, and it cost him $68. THEY DO ANY PRESCRIPTION.
I know you probbaly need glasses, chronically right? Such is the life of a daily glasses wearer. But that saved us SO MUCH MONEY so please go look into it. And then send sugar-free chocolate in thanks. :p
I think that's all I got. More than I thought it would be! But now I have to go rub my temples and stare at my file and try to right 400 more words today, which is a gazillion times harder than writing this to you, lol. A bazilgazillion. A googleplextillion times harder. Yeah, I'm making up words. Writer's perogative!
Not going to do haiku atm, brain ache, but I would love to hear from you? How's work/Steve/things?
