Oil paintings

Hi Sis! As requested, here are the pictures of my paintings, in order of when I did them. The first one you'll notice is very similar to Willow's, that's of course the one we did together. :) The last one is still a WIP, needs some rock/bush/bird work.

Just like Willow's

Why the green sky?? I dunno why, but....green sky.

It's supposed to be Tahquamenon Falls, the "root beer" falls, but they
ended up more like "chocolate milk" falls!

I actually have an extra green canvas that I painted at the beginning of the second one, but the paint was too thin to continue. So I let it dry, and now have to figure out exactly what I'm going to do with another green sky...

The paints are terribly expensive, about $10 a tube, so I don't know why I thought that would be a good hobby for me! I guess I just thought you get more painting out of each tube than you actually do. Luckily some of the actually are very intense and do go a long way, like the red and blue. But brown, yellow, green, red, and both whites? Fahgetaboutit. That and I go through lots and lots of paint thinner. A $10 can only lasted me the 4 pictures we've done.

Mountains are next to try!

  1. Haha all hobbies are expensive! Thats why they are fun!

I always explain my need to pirate as in I only have a certain amount of discretionary income. They (entertainment industry) gets it all!!

Sometimes It's only 10$ and about all I can do is hunt down some cheap books. I spent my 10$ this month on a workout program. I can't even have WOW because that's 15$.

Sometimes I have 20$ which even though its for a hobby I regard making my body cream/massage bars part of health. I'm upset because my brand new pink grapefruit bar I made was in my trunk :(

But painting is healthier than mc donalds, cheaper than bars, more inspiring than magazines, and cheaper than buying prints.

Plus I really love them and I am inspired! Beautiful!
