Moroccan Tagine

Moroccan Tagine with honey, dates, safron, cinnamon, almonds etc.

  1. Never had tangine, but have always wanted to try it! There are recipes for it, but I'd like to have it at a restaurant before I try to make it, so I know what it's supposed to taste like!

  2. I've never eaten it in a restaurant either. I used a recipe suggester for what I had on hand. Literally I just bought chicken. I already had all the other ingredients honey, dates, saffron, cinnamon, almonds, onions, cilantro and even a half used carton of stock. Basically the chicken gets really browned, the veges get really caramelized. Then you let it sit and cook so it develops a really thick sauce. This one has you pour a sauce on it that I don't think most do. The sauce contained the dates and almonds.
